Remodeling and Retrofitting

Like many small design and construction firms, City Design got its start with remodeling and retrofitting projects. Space constraints and historical ordinances on the East Coast made remodeling and home renovation, as opposed to new construction, a very familiar task to us.

As the global economy continues to improve, we have had more new construction opportunities, but also a wealth of retrofitting assignments. These retrofits are typically completed on behalf of clients who are happy with the look and location of their current homes or other buildings, but would like to update them to include energy efficient features in order to achieve substantial utility cost-savings or simply leave a more sustainable local footprint.

At City Design, we never forget our roots, so our contractors will always be happy to take on smaller remodeling and retrofitting projects if the opportunity seems to be a good fit, no matter how much we continue to grow.
